15 suspects arrested in Koral during a search operation

ISLAMABAD-As many as 15 suspects were arrested by Islamabad police during a search and search operation carried out within the confines of Koral Police Station (PS), a police spokesman said on Friday.

The suspects were transferred to the police station for further questioning by the police, he added.

According to him, a large contingent of police officers as well as personnel from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Rapid Response Teams and Special Branch personnel, following the order of the Inspector General of Police ( IGP) of Islamabad, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan conducted a search. and combing operation inside the PS Koral.

During the search operation, he said up to 15 suspects and one vehicle were arrested and transferred to the police station for verification. He said the police checked 40 houses and interrogated 65 people. Similarly, the police also checked five vehicles and 10 motorcycles. The search operation was conducted by SSP CTD Islamabad.

He said search and search operations are being carried out in different parts of the city to ensure the safety and security of the citizens of Islamabad.

IGP Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, in a statement, said the aim of the search and search operations was to enhance security in the capital. All zone officers have been ordered to continue these operations in their respective zones. Citizens are also asked to cooperate with police during checks, he said.
