Aims to train 3,260 unemployed young people this year DC emphasizes imparting vocational skills to young people


RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today chaired a meeting of relevant officers to finalize the skills development plan for the 2022-23 financial year.

During the meeting, he was informed that dozens of new courses have been introduced into the plan this year to meet the aspirations of young unemployed people. He was also informed that no less than 3,260 unemployed young people would benefit from training in various trades this year.

Inquiring about courses conducted at training institutions in accordance with the NSQ framework, the DC insisted on conducting all courses within the framework of the NSQF. “Skills development of young people is the government’s priority and many initiatives are being taken in this regard,” he added. .

With a focus on youth development, the DDC asked relevant officers to explore new ways to develop the capabilities of talented young people in the district by bringing skills development to the grassroots level.
