CTD prepares a sketch of the KU explosion enabler

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Sindh Police prepared the sketch of a man suspected of having prepared the explosive device used in the suicide bombing against Chinese professors at the University of Karachi in beginning of this year.

Three Chinese teachers and their Pakistani driver were killed when a woman, identified as Shari Baloch, blew herself up near their minibus on April 26. The body parts of the suicide bomber, which were recovered from the site, are still in a cold room.

According to CTD sources, the sketch of the suspect, identified as Zeb, was prepared using CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts.

They said Zeb was a trainer of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists. He met Shari’s family in Delhi Colony and stayed with them. CTD sources further said that the explosive device which Shari detonated near the Chinese national’s van outside the University of Karachi was also prepared by Zeb.

Meanwhile, the bomber’s body parts are still in the cold room. They were recovered by investigators from the site after the bombing. The CTD authorities did not authorize his burial even though no one showed up to collect them.
