DIG Hazara examines the safety of the Dasu hydroelectric project
ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News – July 22, 2022): Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Hazara Region Police, Mirwais Niaz, chaired an important meeting on Friday regarding the security of the Dasu Hydropower Project (DHP ), foreign officials and workers in his office.
Dasu Hydroelectric Project Safety Chief Brig. (R) Iftikhar briefed DIG Hazara on security of Upper Kohistan Development Projects, DHP Chief Security Officer also briefed on security issues, challenges facing police and security forces and suggestions for improvement yet security were also given.
The DIG Hazara region, while addressing the participants of the meeting, said that it is necessary to improve the security of foreigners and develop relations with them, to hold weekly meetings and to share important issues with them so that security strangers and the project could be improved.
He further said that he will continue to conduct joint security audits and conduct search and attack operations in the region, keep track of suspects, eliminate factors affecting security and create a pleasant environment. DIG Hazara also ordered DPO Upper Kohistan and SP SSU to submit a weekly security audit report to the regional office.
In the meeting, DPO Upper Kohistan Tahir Iqbal, SP CTD Tariq Habib, DO FC Zulfikar Khan, SP SSU Imtiaz Ali, DSP Special Branch Muhammad Zakir and law enforcement officials were also present.
