KOHAT: The Kohat Terrorism Court on Wednesday sentenced a banned Pakistani Tehreek-i-Taliban terrorist to 25 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined him Rs. mobile phone and killed one of them later. .

A case was filed by the Counter Terrorism Department, Kohat Region, against the outlaw i.e. Azizullah of the Alikhel tribe of Orakzai, who lived in the Qazi Banda area of ​​Kohat, for having abducted the workers and killed one of them, namely Gulfaraz from Okara on July 11, 2021.

The terrorist allegedly took a ransom of 7 million rupees from the contractor of the mobile tower under construction, from where the workers were chosen, and freed the rest of them on July 15, 2021.

The workers were abducted in Kurram district on June 26, 2021. The terrorist belonged to the notorious Hafiz Daulat group. His accomplices, however, are still at large.

The CTD had arrested Azizullah on August 18, 2021 and collected a ransom of 6.7 million rupees from him.

He had told the police that he had purchased arms worth the remainder of Rs 300,000 for the terrorist group on the orders of its leader, Daulat Khan. The police had also recovered the weapons, which included a heavy machine gun, an anti-aircraft gun, 700 rounds of 12.7 and three grenades.

He was tried in an anti-terrorism court, where CTD lawyers proved the crime against him.
